Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 allegedly will not have a singleplayer campaign

Watch this now - Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional singleplayer story campaign, allegedly. The rumor shared by Polygon Portal has confirmed several sources close to the development of new Call of Duty. Nothing has yet been officially confirmed, but if it turns out that leaving out campaign is true, it will be the first Call of Duty title without a campaign mode in 15 years how long series exists.

The reason for the omission of the campaign mode is allegedly that this year's Call of Duty arrives a month earlier than usual. However, the absence of singleplayer content should not be read off at the cost of the game, as Treyarch in turn prepares additional content for cooperative and competitive modes, among the same is again being mentioned battle royale mode.

Considering that the singleplayer campaigns were always the biggest cost in CoD games, and a significant part of the players did not usually play them either. On the other hand, there were those who played only the campaign and the multiplayer segment did not interest them, which is why Activision in recent years often allowed singleplayer and multiplayer components to be downloaded separately.

How Call of Duty will look like without campaign, we will find out on May 17th when is scheduled reveal of the official game.
