I remembered that the site was updating earlier when I tried to load it, so I came back now to log in and see that Giveaways now cost ARP to redeem... Those are technically no longer giveaways then, they're products for sale. I guess it helps with my frustration at the severe dearth of actual games being given instead of the many beta/demo/first-look keys that I never cared for anyways. Now I'm saving points by ignoring them! XD
