Anyone know if starting a steam quest from your phone and running the game on steam deck works towards it? Going to not be home for a bit and was hoping it does.

It works. All the challenge page buttons do is tell AWA to start watching for playtime in that game and a deeplink that opens Steam and launches the game. The latter bit is completely optional.

What matters is that your TIME PLAYED on Steam is increasing, because that's where AWA checks once per hour.

not necessarily once per hour, occasionally it takes a few hours to update
