Boss Level Revealed

Developer Milky Tea and ublisher Megabit, recently revealed the game’s British Isles Boss and a bunch of intel on Boss Levels - an exciting as-yet-unseen aspect of Grit and Valor: 1949!

Boss Levels will act as the final stage of each region and will pit your squad against a devastating Axis Boss Mech.

Today we’re providing you with some backstory on the British Isles Boss, an overview of Boss Level mechanics, and a closer look at the Boss Mech design.

Now buckle in for your briefing, Soldier!

INTEL: British Isles Boss - General Harmsworth

The Boss – General Harmsworth

Harmsworth Character

Using the power of his newspaper empire, Harmsworth kept his pockets lined and heavily influenced political opinion.

"People used to think that the way to rule was with an iron fist inside a velvet glove.  I have taken off the velvet glove. And it feels wonderful." - General Harmsworth

When Axis forces invaded, Harmsworth took the opportunity to betray his country - coordinating a coup against the British government which hastened the collapse of the Allied forces.

Now a high-ranking Axis Commander, he subjugates the British civilian population while attempting to hunt down and crush the Resistance.

The British Isles Boss Mech

Harmsworth’s personal Mech is perhaps the only thing even more monstrous than the man himself.

A terrifying quadruped that dwarfs all other known mechs, this machine is big enough to cast its shadow over entire towns.  All to have stood in its way have perished.

Built in the image of its owner, Harmsworth’s mech is an imposing and seemingly unstoppable force equipped with an arsenal of weapons systems to make it effective against all mech types.

Boss Level: Gameplay & Mechanics

With unprecedented hazards, waves of elite reinforcements, and Harmsworth’s Boss Mech, The British Isles Boss Level will undoubtedly be your squad’s biggest challenge yet.

To overcome this monstrosity, you going to need to adapt the way you play.

  • KEEP ON MOVING: High-calibre machine guns. Flamethrowers. Mortar firing capabilities. Harmsworth’s Boss Mech has a means of overpowering any mech type. Whittle down the boss’ health while keeping your squad in rotation to ensure their weaknesses aren’t exposed!

  • AVOID HAZARDS & DEFEAT ELITE REINFORCEMENTS: As the highest-ranking Axis General in the British Isles, Harmsworth has access to entire battalions of Air and Land reinforcements. Avoid bombing runs and don’t underestimate Elite Infantry and Mechs.

  • PROTECT  THE SCIENTISTS:  Should Harmsworth reach the EMP Scientists at the end of the map; all hope of liberation will be lost. This urgency forces you to play offensively, think fast, and take calculated risks.

STAY IN THE LOOP!

We hope this intel will prepare you for your own encounter with General Harmsworth.

That's quite an interesting "definitely-not-a-Mad-Cat, honest" mech in the videos' thumbnail.
