System Shock Remake is Delayed to May 2023
The long-awaited cult classic reboot has been pushed (again).

Nightdive Studios announced on Steam that the title has been delayed and is now set to launch on May 30. “We had hoped to bring the game to market by the end of March, but that turned out to be just beyond our reach; we are after all merely human (unlike Shodan!)”
The reboot first started fundraising back in 2016 through Kickstarter, eventually raising over $1.3 million, and the game has been in development for several years. The game promises HD visuals, revamped controls, and a totally new interface. The Steam post went on to say that the System Shock remaster features never-before-seen enemies, gameplay tweaks, and a new hacking system. All in all, Nightdive has been working on this project for a long time, and with a game from the 90s there are a lot of overhauls required to bring it to a modern audience– the question then, is will they succeed?
