BUDGET CASES... Should you just LEAVE the Side Panel OFF?! No Fan Vs. Desk Fan

UOzlo | 06/19/2018

When selling budget PCs, there is one thing I always recommend - just leave the side panel off, though how much of a difference does it make? Well today I set up some pubg which stresses both the CPU and GPU quite well, and with a heap of watts getting dumped into the case... the results are a little scary... Given the state of that case its probably not surprising :)
It's all about air flow, a decent case should give decent air flow through the case. Helps if you consider where best to place things too. IMHO I prefer the PSU at the bottom rear of the case with a large liquid cooling solution exhausting through the top of the case (fractal design for example allow for this).

one small fan at the front top/bottom and maybe the same at the rear just does not cut it.

Good vid though showing just how low tech a demo can be of air flow and why it matters. Also like how you mentioned ambient air temp.
