Steam Achievements - Do you "complete" your games?

  • 170

I recently got to complete all of the achievements of a game I was playing on Steam, and I realised when you do that, it shows as a "Perfect Game" on your profile if you have Achievements Showcase. That kind of made me want to try and complete more games, but that requires that I play a game more than once, possible twice or three times.

So I was wondering, how many of you are getting 100% achievements in your games?

Do you try to complete any and every game you get, do you use achievements guides, or do you just do whatever achievement you naturally do playing a game and then leave it at it?

Also, how many achievements do you have? And what's your Avg. game comp. rate?

--> I have 235 achievements and my comp. rate is just a measly 25%--since before a week ago I didn't care about achievements at all.

I'm trying this for the first time with Mafia II. First, I'm trying to complete every mission of the story, because that gives one achievement for each mission. After that, for the alternatives achievements, I will just read the achievement objective to gain it.

How many achievements does that game have?

My avg complete rate is 74% I really try to complete as much as I can sadly some MP games with 500+ archievements are unrealistic for me and doubt I will ever do them :(

Well, I've been on Steam for nearly 10 years - have 327 games.

1,189 Achievements, 9 Perfect Games, 26% Completion Rate.

I have played Spec Ops: The Line 3-4 times, trying to get more achievements as well as on The Darkness II - played that 4 times I think.  Takes time because you need to do different things to get some achievements.  I try not to focus on getting all the achievements though really, I have to really love the game to play it more than once and I loved Spec Ops: The Line and The Darkness II.

Gta chinatown wars on the psp go. I got 97%. I completed EVERYTHING and that was the percentage.

I finished my games without worrying about achievements.

After, if the universe was really good, I run it a second time to make achievements. It helps to not miss anything

I wish I didn't care about earning achievements, but for some reason it irks me when I don't 100% a game. ^^;; So that's why I play very slowly and hesitate on starting up a game. ;-;

i got a few complete's but it's not easy and can be too time consuming. i normally do the best i can, if the game is great i play it again in a few years time and try to get the remaining achievements. Overall i think it's a good thing for re-playablity.

I hate achievements. Focusing on them takes away from the gaming experience itself imo. My Xbox 360 days put me into the achievement hunter mode, mainly to show off in games like L4D or CoD, by proving I could accomplish the most difficult achievements... Then it seeped into other games, and eventually I found myself focusing on the achievements more than the games themselves. Now, I just don't care about them, I'd rather enjoy my games.
