Path of Exile's 4.0 Expansion is so Advanced it can take on Diablo 4 when it releases in the Future

Path of Exile has a mega expansion coming up and Grinding Gear Games says the update represents the "next generation" leap for the game.

That 4.0.0 expansion is going to take on Diablo 4, as far as we’re concerned.  It’s the next generation of action-RPGs and represents a really big upgrade to Path of Exile. And so, we’ll be teasing that at Exilecon.

ExileCon is slated for November 16 & 17 2019, and the studio promises that players will be able to test an early build of 4.0 at the event.

With no announced release date for Diablo 4 or any announced features, Path of Exile is definitely sounding extremely confident about the advancements contained in the 4.0 mega expansion.

However, with the first look only in November, Path of Exile players will have to be content with the Path of Exile:Legion expansion that will be released in a few weeks on 7 June.  There’s quite a long trail of expansions to come after that, too. Grinding Gear is following its plan of releasing an expansion every 13 weeks, so you can expect two more in 2019 around September and December.
