Jagged Alliance: Rage! Brings Turn-Based Tactical Combat to a New Generation

It’s been lost in the wilderness for a number of years but Jagged Alliance is back! The classic turn-based tactics series returns with Jagged Alliance: Rage!. It’s set 20 years after the events of the first Jagged Alliance, returning for a trip into the jungle for a ragtag group of mercenaries-for-hire.

For fans, it’s familiar ground. Jagged Alliance Rage is turn-based tactical combat with a small group of fighters taking on a larger enemy force. It’s sure to be unforgiving, with each move planned in exacting detail before execution.

This time around we can look forward to full two-player online co-op, adventure elements (much like Mutant Year Zero), a strong suite of skills and tactical options, and what trip into the jungle would be complete without “terrifying experimental drugs” that can be used on enemies.

Jagged Alliance: Rage! is under development at HandyGames, who are taking their first stab at the series, while the publisher is THQ Nordic, who snapped up the rights to the Jagged Alliance series from bitComposer Entertainment back in 2015.

THQ Nordic has said Jagged Alliance: Rage! Will launch in Fall 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, priced at a budget price point of 19,99 EUR on PC and 29,99 EUR on consoles.

Interstellar

The developers who own the Jagged Alliance IP should just remake 2 or, at the very least, use its rules and gameplay as the backbone for a new game.
